Texas Clinic Pain & Spine

RFA is a procedure performed by your doctor to cauterize the MBNs that innervate the facet joints that are causing the aching and stiffness in your neck or back. Your doctor will tell you that the results of the RFA procedure are “temporary” because, sometimes, after a year or two, the MBN fibers may grow back together and the aching and stiffness in your neck or back may return. If it does, your doctor may simply repeat the RFA procedure.
